Deuchar at the `double'

Livingston's Kenny Deuchar scored at both ends as his side lost 2-1 at Partick.

Partick took the lead with the first meaningful attack after 25 minutes when Paul Cairney crossed from the right wing into the path of Conrad Balatoni who emphatically swept home his effort into bottom corner of the net.

They doubled their lead less than 10 minutes later from an unlikely source. Cairney was again involved, swinging a corner into the heart of the box, which was headed into his own net by the unfortunate Deuchar.

He made amends on the stroke of half-time, neatly finishing from a Mark Fotheringham cross.

Livingston pushed for an equaliser, but Robert Barr's wayward effort in the last five minutes was the closest they came.
