Mensing earns Accies record

Simon Mensing's equaliser preserved Hamilton's unbeaten start to the season as they drew 1-1 at Partick.

The home side had the best chance of the first half, but Thomas Stewart's header was saved by Tomas Cerny.

Partick took the lead after 66 minutes through Christie Elliot after he collected Iain Flannigan's cross to drill home.

But Hamilton were back on level terms 10 minutes later when Douglas Imrie's right-wing cross was headed into the top corner by Mensing.

Partick came close to winning it 10 minutes from time, but David Rowson's powerful volley from Aaron Sinclair's cross was held by Cerny.

The result gave Partick their first point of the season and leaves Hamilton top of the league.
