10-man Accies hold on

Hamilton hung on for a point despite having a man sent off as Partick came from behind to draw 2-2 at New Douglas Park.

The hosts took the lead just before the half-hour mark when Daniel Redmond curled in a superb free-kick from the edge of the penalty area.

Jon McShane doubled the advantage minutes later, stabbing the ball over the line after good work by Jon Routledge.

But the Jags pulled a goal back in the 36th minute, Stuart Bannigan collected Sean Welsh's pass before finishing neatly inside the area.

And the comeback was complete six minutes later when Paul Paton picked out Welsh with a fine cross to head past a stranded Blair Currie.

The Accies were reduced to 10 men in the 77th minute when Mark McLaughlin was dismissed for what was adjudged to be a professional foul on Kris Doolan.
