The reserve side were in action on Tuesday against Airdrie United at Petershill Park. The team was: Pinkowski, Anis, Panther, B Gibson, Paterson (Wilson), Brady (Cameron), Howie, Mitchell, Ramon, McConalogue (McGoldrick), Strachan. The "home" side took the lead in the second half before we equalised courtesy of an own goal, but a poor pass from Ramon gifted Airdrie United a chance which they took full advantage of resulting in the winning goal. After the game Jimmy Bone had some mixed emotions:

"We were able to put into place a few things which worked well. Billy Gibson did very well at centre back while Scott Paterson got some time in competitive action and Willie Howie played wide midfield. We also had a chance to see some of the youngsters get some time which was pleasing too.

Overall though we did not play as well as we did against St Mirren, especially in the first half where we were very poor. We did improve in the second half and create the better chances but didn't take them. Being honest the surface was very poor and it was a great leveller, and I feel had the game been played at Firhill we would have won easily." Quotes borrowed from the offical site
