As the March 31st deadline nears for first division clubs to have their stadium in shape for promotion. Today Lanarkshire council halted building of the 4th stand at Broadwood, as the club still owe a quarter of a million pounds.
Clyde’s only chance of promotion now seems to be if they shared they shared grounds with Airdrie which is unlikely as the Airdrie chairman has said it WONT happen.
Inverness don’t seem to be any further with their 10,000 seats so it looks like Only St Johnstone Raith and St Mirren would be able to qualify for promotion, which is unlikely as all three are in the bottom half of the division. Falkirk could possibly be promoted if their stadium is finished in time and they are currently sitting in third place 10 points behind leaders Clyde.
Could all this mean the Jags will be saved from relegation?? Would you prefer if the Jags went down, and showed the winning attitude we saw in the first division where the atmosphere at games is better? Or would you like them to stay in the SPL by technical default like Motherwell done last year? Give us your views in the new poll on the main page.
