Manager Dick Campbell will once again make changes ahead of the game against Clyde on Saturday afternoon at Firhill and the gaffer admits that there are still players playing for their future and have three weeks to win new contracts as well as predicting big things for the young star chris smith:

"One or two have still got three weeks to make my mind up and I am already focussed on what I am doing next season no matter what Division we are in. I have got to build a football club here, I've got to start early and lay the foundations or else others will nip in and take away the players I want to bring in.

Players put themselves in the team and I don't think anyone did enough to be considered a dead cert to start this week. Players make managers' job easy by playing well but we have been up and down far too often this season with too many downs at that. However I want us to go out and win the last three games, for the fans and to give us a chance to look forward to next season.

I will be playing with an attacking side, but what we have to do is cut out the stupid mistakes we are making at the back and if we can do that then that will be a big step forward. I obviously am withouth Scott Paterson, Willie Howie and a couple of the young boys as well as Juan Ramon, who has returned home and all our thoughts are with him, but I hope that there are a few players who can go out and put in a performance which will give me food for thought with regard to new contracts.

I also managed to see the youth side in action on Monday night in the reserves which was a very difficult task for them as Stranraer fielded a very experienced side but I was disappointed in one or two things although on the other hand one or two things pleased me, especially the showing of young Christopher Smith who is only 15 years old and I hope that he will be a big player for us at Thistle in the coming seasons."
