CLUB STATEMENT

The employment of Chief Executive Alan Dick has today been terminated by the Club by mutual consent. Alan Dick fully understands the reasons behind the move. Before leaving Firhill for the final time, Alan had this to say:

"It's not been a good season for the Club, both on and off the park. Financially it's been a testing year and I think it's fair to say that the Club has incurred substantial losses in trying to return to the SPL at the first time of asking. Sadly it's not worked and relegation is now a serious prospect. The Club is run extremely prudently by Brown McMaster, Tom Hughes and the rest of the Board and it's fully understandable that there will have to be substantial reductions and savings made in several areas, including staff cuts, over the next few weeks. Hopefully my departure will allow one or two younger staff members to retain their jobs.

Having been involved in football administration in Scotland for 31 years, it would be my intention to return at some time in the future. However, my other sporting interests in the city will keep me busy in the meantime. I wish nothing but good fortune to every member of the PTFC Board, Dick Campbell and the players, all the staff at the club and every Thistle supporter."
