Gibby talks about the Hamilton game

After dropping two points at home to Airdrie last Saturday, Jags midfielder Billy Gibson has tagged Saturday's relegation six pointer(or 5) at Hamilton as the biggest game of the season, and a must-win encounter for the Jags.

Gibson said: "For me this has now become the biggest game of the season for us. There was a real sense of frustration in the dressing room after the draw with Airdrie. At this stage in the season, and given our position, you have got to say every draw at Firhill is two points dropped. Now with Accies getting a point at Falkirk to keep the gap at two points and still having a game in hand over us, we need to get a win on Saturday."

Thistle won the earlier clash at New Douglas Park thanks to a Juan Ramón goal, but Gibson concedes this match is likely to be a far tougher prospect. "I watched the highlights of the Hamilton v Falkirk game and their new signings looked like they had brought extra quality. Obviously, although we have played Hamilton twice this season already, none of the new guys were in their side then. From that point of view I think it is going to be even more important we win all the 50/50 balls and impose ourselves on them.

"The fans have been brilliant for us this season, and at the cup replay against Hearts, which was a midweek game, we must have had well over a 1000 at Tynecastle. We know they will turn up in their numbers and hopefully with them behind us we can come out on top. I think the lads all know how important this one is and we are determined not to let the support down."
