Thistle stopper Adrian Madasachi today got his first call up for the full Australian international team. The centre back who has been magnificent since signing for Thistle back in October today got the nod from Australian boss Frank Farina for his first cap. Madasachi will play alongside players like Brett Emerton, Mark Schwarzer and Danny Tiatto. David Zdrilic of Aberdeen and Patrick Kisnorbo of Hearts are also in the squad to face Turkey twice at the Australia Stadium, Sydney on 21st May and on the 24th May at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne. We wish Adrian well in these games.

In other news Willie Howie has signed on for another year, the 21 year old midfielder has been a key reason the Jags are unbeaten in 3 games. Howie who came close to scoring in the last game V livi told www.ptfc.co.uk

"I feel that I have won my contract over the past three or four games and I think that I have shown the management that I can play at this level, so I am delighted to have signed a new contract.

This season has been a very frustrating one for me as there have been times when I felt the team were playing poorly and feel that I could have deserved a chance to come in and show what I could do but it hasn't happened but it is now and that is all that is important. I also feel that I am more prepared for first team football now that I was. I am physically stronger, my fitness and confidence are higher and I am starting to feel like the player I used to be.

Having David Rowson alongside is also very important, he is a great player to learn off and if we do get the nod to stay in the Premier League then that will help to keep him and James at the club which would be very important to us. Now though all I am looking forward to is the future and I will put behind me all that has gone on in the past."
