Transfer Activity at Firhill

After releasing Kevin Budd and telling Eddie Forrest he can find a new club they used the free wages to tie Kenny Milne to a new two year extension deal keeping him at the club till 2006, excellent news as the big left back has been solid all year. On the same day Thistle were lining up a deal with former Jag Danielle Chiarini however nothing has been signed and sealed as yet.

Today David Lilley joined Kilmarnock for a fee of reportedly around £30,000 and brought in Rangers under 21 right back Billy Gibson in on loan till the end of the season as a replacement.

Kenny Arthur also signed a two-year extension deal today, which is great news for all Thistle fans as he was expected to sign for another team during the summer. His new deal means if somebody wants him they’ll need to pay and with the current state of affairs in the SPL it’s highly unlikely anybody will come in for him.
