After the dissapointing defeat on Saturday Thistle told two players that they could go and find new clubs.

Kevin Budinackus's contract was controversially ripped up as chairman Tom Hughes wanted to prove a point about the unfair sacking of players saying " If Motherwell and Dundee can do it, why can't everybody else??" However as expected all was resolved and Kevin got his money.

Eddie Forrest was the other player who has been told that he can find a new club as he was surplus to requirements.

After an SPL meeting this week it was decided that teams that are in administration in May will be docked 10 points at the start of the season. eg. If Dundee are still in admin at the end of the season they will start next season with -10 points. There is now restrictions on how clubs in admin can purcahse players.

The Number of subs was also increased from 5 to 7.

It was rumoured today that David Lilley would be signing for Kilmarnock in a swap deal with a Killie player coming to Firhill. It was rumoured the player was ex Jags star Martin Hardie who moved to Kilmarnock in the summer but has only made six starts this season. Other rumours said the player was Gary Mcswegan. But by the end of the day the deal was said to have been put on hold.
