With Marc Smyth completing the paperwork on his deal on Friday, we are pleased to report that Jimmy Gibson has done likewise and his two year deal is now lodged with the relevant authorities and hot on the heels of that deal being completed was the surprising signing of 37 year old George Rowe. The defender has a wealth of experience of Division Two football and Dick Campbell admits that he needs some wise heads in the squad for the coming season:

"There will be great pressure on the side this season as everyone will be prediciting a swift return to the 1st Division and we need some experienced heads about the team to help that happen and to help the players off the park as well. George I know well, and I know exactly what he has to offer and he has an abundance of qualities. He knows the league well and he knows the players well, and his experience will be vital for us.

The basis of my squad at the moment is of a youthful nature and it is vital that there are some older heads around the place. I am not sure how often he will feature in the side, that will be down to performances, but he is the right kind of person to have around the club of that there is no doubt."
