Thistle play the first of 4 away games on the trot when they visit Hamilton’s New Douglas Park on Saturday.
The teams met last year in a Scottish Cup tie with Thistle winning 5-1. However both teams have brought in new personnel since that encounter. Hamilton have strengthened the team by bringing in former Thistle targets Mark McLaughlin and Pat Keogh from Clyde during the summer. They also have Ricky Waddell on their books after they signed from Thistle during the middle of last season.
Thistle have Gerry Britton and Ian Ross still out recovering from injuries and Adrian Madaschi is still on international duty with Australia at the Olympics. Kenny Milne is back after starting last week against Airdrie. Andy Dowie is back after serving his suspension as well.
